24-year-old double-bassist Nina Bernat, acclaimed for her interpretive maturity, expressive depth, and technical clarity, has emerged as a musical-trailblazer. A recipient of a 2023 Avery Fisher Career Grant, Nina has also been awarded first prizes including the Barbash J.S. Bach String Competition, the Minnesota Orchestra Young Artist Competition, and the Juilliard Double Bass Competition. Recent and upcoming performances include a concerto debut with the Minnesota Orchestra and Osmo Vänskä, performances for Chamber Music Northwest, Music at Menlo, and a debut at San Fransico’s Davies Hall. Nina is also a member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s Bowers Program.
