Concert Artists Guild and
Sphinx Organization
Announce New Partnership
Concert Artists Guild is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Sphinx Organization, the international social justice organization dedicated to transforming lives through the power of diversity in the arts.
Aligning with CAG’s purpose of identifying and developing young artists who will make an impact in the world through music, Sphinx shares a dovetailing mission of supporting inclusion while championing the highest level of performance.
Starting with the 2024 Auditions, CAG commits to reserving one spot in the annual finals for an artist affiliated with the Sphinx Organization, beginning with the winner of the 2024 Sphinx Competition – violinist Nathan Amaral.
CAG's history of Sphinx laureates on the roster includes Jordan Bak, Luiz Fernando Venturelli, Gabriel Martins, and Njioma Grevious. Njioma was the first artist to perform in CAG’s Competition in partnership with Sphinx leading to this expanded commitment from CAG. Other CAG alumni and artists have performed with Sphinx Virtuosi, including Caleb Georges of Dior Quartet, Britton-René Collins, and 2024 Sphinx Medal of Excellence recipient Kalena Bovell, who also conducted Sphinx Symphony in 2023.
Concert Artists Guild is deeply committed to diversity on our roster, in our artists’ programming, and in our commissioning, a vital component in empowering musicians and launching careers that are sustainable, unique, and relevant. We’re deeply grateful to be able to expand our footprint through this partnership with the Sphinx Organization.
